Thunderstorm Shortens
Chemung, Sets Up Big Night May 30th - by Carol Houssock
(Chemung, NY) With green on the radar
map, officials at Chemung Speedrome tried to keep
the green flag waving but came up 51 laps short of
finishing on Saturday night. A heavy storm brought
with it rain and dangerous lightning, forcing the
early shutdown. However, that now sets up a big
program to close out the month of May. This
Saturday night’s program will start with the
final 11 laps of the Super Stock feature, followed
by the 40-lap NASCAR Weekly Modified race. The
regular program already scheduled for May 30th
will then be run in its entirety.
